In 1998, founder Erlend Einarsen got the idea to develop a mobile phone kiosk for the public environment. Based on this idea, the company QuietPod was established in the year 2000 and the first version saw the light of day in 2002 with financial support from Innovation Norway.
In 2003, one year after its launch in the public space, inquiries began to come from companies that lacked quiet space after conversion to open office landscapes. As a result, the entire prototype collection of 25 units in the same year was sold and distributed between IBM and DNV as the first customers in the office market.
In line with the increasing prevalence of open office landscapes, QuietPod has over a 20-year period developed mobile quiet rooms in collaboration with Norwegian industrial designers and Sintef as a technical consultant. The products have had a transformation from the first edition to today's series which is formidable in terms of functionality and user-friendliness.
Open office landscapes are here to stay. The challenge is often that users do not have good enough access to quiet rooms for telephone conversations, meeting activities and relaxation.
With QuietPod, you can in a flexible way place free-standing and mobile quiet rooms in different zones for different purposes. This ensures that the employees get good rooms adapted to the work tasks. The result is more obvious and efficient employees.
