What is crucial when it comes to acquiring quiet rooms?

The answer is probably quite simple. You want good sound insulation and good ventilation. You want the design to be nice. And then you probably think about sustainability and flexibility, since the office landscape may change. There are few quiet rooms that meet these criteria.

- It is crucial that the users of the room get a good experience, and then it's a lot about sound insulation, light and ventilation. It is comparable to buying a new car. Price and appearance are one thing but the most important thing is that quality and functionality match your needs, Erlend Einarsen, who is the founder and general manager of QuietPod

Materials that stop sound

QuietPod has developed its quiet rooms over 20 years, and today has customers such as Google, NRK, the Police and TV2. The company delivers rooms in different sizes for 1-8 people. QuietPod can also adapt the rooms to different needs. Common to all the solutions is that they are delivered with integrated ventilation, LED light, and mobile floor as standard.

- In addition, we use a construction of tongue materials that stop sound. You can not build quiet rooms with light screen walls, then you only get screening and can not call it quiet rooms. All our units also satisfy fire class A, and we have chosen a timeless Scandinavian design in collaboration with our designers Svein Asbjørnsen and Jarle Slyngstad, says Einarsen.

Flexibility and sustainability

Studies show that employees who sit in open office landscapes are often bothered by noise and interruptions. Everyday life has also become more digital, with more video meetings, and the need for protection and privacy is even greater than before.

- It is not enough to have meeting rooms anymore. One should also have smaller and more accessible quiet rooms that one or two people can use for video meetings, says the QuietPod founder. Since office premises and floor plans often change over time, QuietPods quieter solutions have wheels so that they can be easily moved when needed. - The quieter rooms can also be easily dismantled and moved to other locations and can be both bought and rented. Flexibility and sustainability are important elements in our solutions, says Einarsen.
