We customize the quiet room according to the customer's wishes. The modular solution makes it easy to modify the pods to suit their specific needs.
QuietPod is developed with materials in mind with the highest possible sound requirements. We now hold first place out of 13 well-known European suppliers to date who have tested sound insulation according to the new ISO standard.
When the layout changes, it is no longer necessary to demolish to build a new one. QuietPod is on wheels, easily moved around the landscape or to other locations. The modules are adapted for reuse and all materials are ISO environmentally certified.
Rambøll concludes that the fire energy in the QuietPod is "almost negligible". Unlike most other quiet rooms, the QuietPods can therefore normally be exempt from sprinkling.
QuietPod comes with integrated ventilation, dimmable LED lighting and a motion sensor. Together with top-class soundproofing, it provides excellent working conditions.
QuietPod is designed in collaboration with award-winning designers Svein Asbjørnsen and Jarle Slyngstad. This means optimal user comfort and a timeless design that fits into any environment. The quiet rooms are delivered on wheels and are easily moved by the users.
The quiet rooms are delivered and installed within 8-10 weeks
Many studies show that noise and interruptions in open office environments can negatively impact work effort and productivity. With QuietPod, you offer your employees both extra meeting rooms and break zones tailored for focused work.
QuietPod tested best of all freestanding quiet rooms when the new standard for sound insulation was introduced (ISO 23351-1), has very good ventilation capacity and can be supplied universally designed. The modules are made for a long life and to be reused in other sizes or other types of rooms. In addition, the rooms have built-in wheels as standard and are easy to move as needed. You can find other quiet rooms that may be equally good in individual points, but only QuietPod combines all of these qualities among well-known suppliers today.
QuietPod has sound class A and no known manufacturer scores better than that. When the new ISO standard 23351-1 for measuring speech sound reduction in quiet rooms was introduced, 13 of Europe's leading manufacturers were tested. SINTEF's results showed that QuietPod was by far the best, with a DS,A index of 31.1 (the closest competitor tested at 30.3). The index indicates how many decibels the sound level from speech is reduced when sitting inside the room compared to outside.
QuietPods fan systems are supplied by SystemAir, and have a maximum capacity of 514 m³/h. The standard meeting room requirement for air flow according to TEK17 is 26 m³/h per person. The standard setting in the quiet room is set to 129.5 m³/h (35.9 l/s), but the fan can be adjusted up and down based on the desired air exchange.
QuietPod is very concerned with quality and longevity. The quiet rooms are therefore produced in modules that make it easy to reuse individual parts, either to build similar rooms or in other sizes. This thinking allows us to follow the cradle-to-cradle principle. If an individual element cannot be reused, it is recycled into other products.
Unlike most other quiet rooms, QuietPods are normally exempt from sprinkling, as non-combustible materials are used in the framework. Ramboll has tested the fire safety of our pods and concluded that the fire energy is “virtually negligible.”
Yes, a customized wheelchair ramp has been developed that makes it universally designed.
Yes. QuietPod is one of the most flexible products on the market. You choose the placement of doors, walls and glass, and can thus ensure the optimal degree of visibility and light penetration based on how the room is planned to be placed in your premises. You can also choose the number of glass and wall elements per pod.
Pods should be placed close to the workplace for maximum use. If the distance is too long (more than ten meters), spontaneous use will be more likely to be lost. In open office landscapes, many plan for about ten workplaces, then a quiet room, then ten more places before another quiet room and so on. The rooms should also be planned with regard to different seating groups or added to areas that are already defined as meeting room zones. More than 25 years of experience means that we can provide many good suggestions for different layout solutions.
It is very fast, and much faster than with traditional, permanently built meeting rooms. Two fitters spend around two hours to assemble the smallest version (Talk). The two larger meeting room versions (Work and Conference) are completed in five and eight hours respectively. All prices are quoted including shipping and assembly.
QuietPod is available in nine different sizes, from single rooms to meeting rooms that seat eight. The pods can also be customized to your own measurements.
The price depends on configuration, options and volume. Today's smallest version costs approximately 100,000 kroner, plus shipping and assembly. Regardless of size: Choose the variant you prefer and send us an inquiry, and we will get back to you with a price very quickly.
You are of course most welcome to do so! You can visit our showroom in Construction City at Ulven in Oslo, or we will be happy to set up an appointment for you with one of our many (and satisfied:) customers.
Yes, and many are already in use as such, including in TV 2 and NRK. The reason is that the pods are very well soundproofed, have high-level ventilation and enough power outlets to quickly connect all necessary equipment. The QuietPods are also suitable for "outdoor broadcasts", since the boxes can be set up in most places, as long as permission and power supply are in order.
The pods are supplied with a drop-down pole/console that contains an on/off switch and dimmer for the LED-based light and fan respectively. The rooms also contain a motion sensor for the light and two double power outlets (four plugs). The power pole is supplied with a five-meter supply cable out of the ceiling, but the length can be adjusted to your needs. The pole/console can also be customized with other specified content, such as fast ethernet, HDMI, USB and other connections.
In use, the rooms draw from around 45 watts (telephone room with LED downlights and fan) to up to 90 watts for the largest meeting rooms.
The rooms contain two double power outlets (four plugs) as standard. Other plugs and connections (network, HDMI, USB etc) are adapted to your specific needs.
QuietPod has dimmable LED downlights in the ceiling. The number of downlights is adapted to the size of the pod (from two to twelve lamps). The solution provides even, nice lighting and is optimal for digital meetings, for example.
Normally, the company's standard wireless network is used without any problems in the pods. If, contrary to expectations, there is still an additional need, we help find good solutions.
The rooms contain a powerful fan system from System Air, adapted to larger meeting rooms. The solution ensures very good ventilation even at a low noise level. The fan can be adjusted as needed, and has a maximum capacity of 514 m³/h.
As standard, the rooms are also supplied with a sound trap from Swegon Norway to further reduce noise. Airflow and sound level have also been tested against the requirements of NS8175-B. The standard meeting room requirement for air flow is 26 m³/h per person, but even at a setting of 129.5 m³/h, the test shows a sound level that is below the limit values according to TEK17.
